FIRESafe MARIN and Firewise Leadership

We have applied for the Sun Valley “flats” to gain national recognition by becoming a Firewise site, so that neighbors and local residents can benefit from the support of FireSafe Marin. This will help streamline our communication and incorporates the direct involvement of the San Rafael Fire Department and the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA). This coordinated effort will help reduce Sun Valley's wildfire risk so that we can organize our discussion with leading experts in wildfire preparedness, evacuation, landscaping, home hardening, and more.
